Junior High Weekly Update: Sept 5th-8th

Hello Everyone!

I hope you all enjoyed the Labor Day weekend! Thank you to all of the families who came to movie night last Friday, what a great turn out! Students did well adjusting to their academic schedule and Mrs. Kasperson and I team teaching. Students also enjoyed their first week of cooking with Ms. Cyndi and this week will start gardening with Ms. Nancy.
In English this week students will be reading through Anotn Chekhov’s short story “The Bet” and will discuss how money can play an interesting part in decision making and can have an influence on actions. Students will continue to study types of nouns in Grammar and will have their first Vocab test this Thursday. In Life Science students will complete their first lab and lab report focused on determining if a yeast sample is dead or alive. Students will also have their first Science jeopardy review game this Wednesday and take their first Science test this Thursday.
